Assassin’s Creed 3 – Review

Last week I talked about Assassin’s Creed 2 and I’ve told you that it was my favourite AC game in the series and it is going to be hard to top that, but Assassin’s Creed 3 is not too far bringing you a great story and a new hero, Connor, during the 18th century.

You will still be playing as Desmond Miles during the 21th century, trying to prevent the 2012 apocalypse, but you will also play as hisancestor, Ratonhnhaké:ton, or Connor, who will be your new Assassin which has crossed the seas from Europe to America. And you will be fighting during the American revolution against the templars in order to free the colonies.

For the first time you will see a new land full of opportunities that lets you hunt, explore and travel through some of the most iconic cities of America such as Boston or New York and you will have the same combat and freerunning skills that the previous assassins had, only this time they are taken to a bigger and better world that gives you more options when it comes to the approach that you want to have on your gameplay.

Assassin’s Creed 3 manages to give you something that the other games couldn’t, a big and beautiful open world with new weather simulations such as fog or snow which will affect your gameplay, meaning that your player will move much harder through snow and you will be encouraged to take higher routes taking the advantage that the forests are full of trees.

The new engine, Anvil Next, does a really good job when it comes to giving you a good running game that has a few occasional glitches, but big crowds of people and a breathtaking environment, and I really want you to see all of this because this game has made a big step towards better visuals and sound effects. Don’t miss out on playing this game, it would be a shame!
