15 Things You Need To Know About Assassin’s Creed 2017

Assassin's Creed Empire

By now we are all used to get at least one Assassin’s Creed game per year and I was really looking forward to seeing what Ubisoft is going to do with the next game giving that the plot was getting closer and closer to present days. So I have found out that there will no be any Assassin’s Creed game this year because Ubisoft’s next instalment really needs to go big. Giving that, here is a list of 15 things that we know so far about the upcoming game:

1. The next big Assassin’s Creed game is set in Ancient Egypt and code-named Empire.

2. There will be no Assassin’s Creed game in 2016. the next game has apparently been scheduled for 2017 because it will represent a major overhaul to the series.

3. The main character is said to be a former slave who says very little.

4. Players will be able to use both horses and ships to travel around, although there will be no naval combat.

5. Players will also have a pet eagle at their command.

6. Empire is being developed by the team responsible for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.

7. Empire is said to be about three times the size of Black Flag.

8. The game is described as having “a Witcher feel”, with player progression and a freedom combat system.

9. There will be no CO-OP component.

10. The environment is described as extremely colored.

11. The project doesn’t recycle as much from previous games as recent entries did.

12. The game packs in a lot of plot; its setting allows Ubisoft a chance to fill in the backstory to the entire series so far.

13. The decision to delay Empire from fall 2016 was made after 2014’s disappointing Unity. The delay will allow the development team more room to improve and polish the game.

14. Ubisoft may make a trilogy out of Empire, with the same character heading to Greece in the next game.

15. This biennial approach could be a new trend for Assassin’s Creed.
